Majdanek was a World Conflict II Nazi demise camp, located on the jap border of Poland. I visited this camp a number of instances, made many footage, wrote about it and in addition made a portray of one of the stunning scenes I’ve ever seen and skilled:
A barrack stuffed to the roof with footwear in every kind of sizes and colors. Adults, youngsters, child, all mendacity there in absolute silence, as I alone was watching them, deeply saddened by what I noticed.
The portray I made from this scene is now property of the Westerbork Memorial website within the Netherlands. you might have heard of it. Here is a hyperlink to the unique portray: http://www.wauwel.nl/wordpress/wp-content/gallery/olieverf/majdanekgroot.jpg
It represents a tiny piece of hope nonetheless: I left away the ceiling, minimize the iron wires and let footwear drifting away to heaven, to freedom.
