The Inaugural Australian Digital Reality Movie Pageant to Launch August 11th

Australia’s first VR film festival devoted to virtual reality expertise, has partnered with Display Queensland and Brisbane Powerhouse to host the inaugural showcase of the Digital Reality movie trade from August 11 -13. Tickets for the competition are available here

AVRFF goals to introduce Brisbane’s public to the inventive potential of this thrilling new expertise with a program of native, interstate and worldwide movies. The competition’s structure has been designed with the viewer in thoughts, with small cubicles permitting the general public to benefit from the movies in their very own time. The competition boasts a program that includes the best and newest of worldwide Digital Reality movies, two of which, The Turning Forest and Easter Rising: Voice of a Insurgent, are directed by Oscar Raby the Co-Founder and Inventive Director at VRTOV, a Melbourne-based Digital Reality studio. 

Oscar shall be presenting a keynote speech on the Brisbane Powerhouse as a part of our opening evening event on August 11th adopted by a panel dialogue from this 12 months’s curatorial panel. AVRFF is a brand new platform for progressive filmmakers to current their works to the general public in an area that promotes inventive development and trade dialogue.

Becoming a member of Oscar on the curatorial panel shall be Lincoln Savage, AVRFF’s Director; Tyrone Estephan, Senior Producer of Alt.vfx; Inventive Director of Brisbane Powerhouse, Kris Stewart; and Director of Inventive Improvement & Innovation for Chopping Edge, Benjamin Richards. Collectively, the panel of consultants will focus on the inventive implications of Digital Reality for all issues movie and past.
